Fundraising

Fundraising

Fundraising is one of the ways to support the Scout group. Successful Scouting requires sufficient funds to run camps, purchase equipment, provide badges and so on.

Scouts can run specific fundraising activities as part of their involvement, they are awarded a fundraising activity badge for their initiative and involvement.

It is also the task of the Scouts Executive Committee and Leaders to assist with specific fundraising campaigns. The committee and staff will work together on ideas and ways of ensuring our Scouts have the resources they require and can access Scouting. Don’t forget you can also gift us money to help with specific funding items. Please talk to us if you have any ideas or ways you can contribute, especially local businesses, shops and individuals who would like to assist.

By using easysearch instead of Google or any other search engine, you can make a real difference. easysearch is completely FREE and by making just 10 searches a day, you could raise around £20 a year for our group. If we all used this web search these little amounts add up, so please consider bookmarking or making easysearch as your home page on your smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer.

These are a few more ways you can support the group at no additional cost to yourself.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
