Beavers can start around the age of 6yrs and will have the opportunity to take part in sleepovers at group and district level.

Each week you will take part in fun, exciting activities, learning new skills that go towards earning badges. You will have the chance to complete the 6 challenge badges and activity badges which all add up to gaining the Chief Bronze Award which is the highest award that a Beaver Scout can achieve. We normally have over 75% of our Beavers gain this award.

This year our group had 2 sleepover’s. The first theme was space and it included a bus ride to the Southend Museum and a talk at the Planetarium. Our second sleepover theme was lego and we also completed our cyclist badge with a visit to Just Ride where we had a chance to ride a lot of different bikes.

We have also taken part in many district events including a Carol Service and Art Attack which is the only competition that the Beaver section hold.

Beavers have also had the chance to gain activity badges during lockdown with our scouting at home programme.

During 2021 we hope to cover the Adventure and World challenge badges as well as Creative, Global and International activity badges.

You can add your child to our waiting list by completing the form at the link below. Please also make contact with the Beaver section leader via our contact form.

Put your phone down and what are you left with? Just teamwork, courage and the skills to succeed.’
