Lest We Forget

Date: 13th Nov 2020 Author: GSL
Remembrance Day was a bit different this year, under lockdown rules we could not pay our respects in our usual way on parade with the rest of the District. But that did not stop the group showing their appreciation to the those who have died in the line of duty. The Beavers used their artistic skill to create a poppy wreath which was displayed at the DHQ. The Cubs also got creative, painting remembrance stones, as well as joining the two-minute doorstep silence at 11 am in uniform. We still managed to present a poppy wreath at the Shoeburyness cenotaph on Remembrance Sunday. Never forget.
